A little about me!
What else do you do?!
I’m particularly passionate about music, food, and being active or spending time outdoors. On the weekeneds, you’ll find me at a concert, in a workout class, out on the trails, or at home cooking with my husband and our dog, Yams (the queen of the house).
How did we end up here?
I graviated towards the arts at a young age and was an avid painter and drawer. I went to college in San Francisco and got my BA in design. I spent 10 years in the magical city gaining real-world experience through internships and in-house roles, and eventually ended up at an agency in Denver. Freelance was always happening on the side, but going all in on Frankie Freehand was the ultimate goal.
What else should I know?
Frankie isn’t short for anything, it’s just Frankie!
What are your favorite projects?
I love seeing projects through from start to finish and using design to create joyful experiences. There’s something about the food industry that keeps pulling me back, so I’m excited about diving into more CPG packaging. I will always thrive with colors and layout too.
About my process
Step 1 - Discovery
This is the “getting to know you” phase. We’ll start with a short questionnaire to understand your goals and where I can make the biggest impact. Once the contract is signed and deposit is in, we’re officially underway. From there, I may schedule a discovery call to lay the groundwork and dive deeper into your audience, competitors, and visual direction.
Step 2 - Concepts
Next, I take everything we uncovered in Step 1 and start putting it into action. Before getting too deep in the weeds, I’ll share mood boards or rough concepts with some options to get the wheels turning and make sure we’re aligned. Think of it as a gut check before fully committing.
03 - Build Out
By now, we’ve settled on a direction and are ready to bring it to life. This is where we refine the parts you love and build out the rest of the system. For branding, we define color, texture, and other details. For a website, this is where initial layouts turn intro branded, functional pages with copy and images.
04 - Final Touches & Handoff
We’ve reached the final step, and are so excited! I’ll make the last tweaks and package all your files neatly with a bow. You’ll get all the formats and deliverables you need, along with instructions on how to use them. I’ll make sure you have the utmost confidence sharing your project with the world.
